There are a lot of social networks out there. Myspace, Friendster, Facebook, to name a few. But Facebook is THE social network that you want to be a part of. It's the easy place where you can keep in touch with friends and relatives by posting funny youtube videos, status updates, and articles. You can also put your photos on there. One cool feature allows you to tag your friends in the photos who are also on Facebook so that they can share the photos with their buddies.

I initially got on Facebook to play online Scrabble, but then found other games like WordFinder. But soon after I joined, I began reconnecting with old friends and connected with new ones as well.

One socially awkward situation arises when someone from your past wants to reconnect with you but you're not interested. In this situation I add them as a friend but then hide their updates...problem solved! This works well for those friends who post way too much.
